About Project Gora

The Blogger behind Project Gora

Hello there! My name is Milet Miranda, the outgoing introvert blogger behind Project Gora. I love traveling, immersing myself in different cultures and discovering new cuisines.

Growing up, my family didn’t travel much, but I always knew that exploring the world was something I wanted to do. In 2011, I took my first solo trip and fell in love with the experience. Since then, I have visited different parts of the Philippines, Asia and beyond.

I started blogging in 2012 as a way to document my travels and share my experiences with others. Over time, my blog has grown into something I could have only dreamed of before. It has given me the chance to visit places I never imagine I could see one day, share my stories, and inspire others to explore the world.

So whether you’re a seasoned traveler or just starting to plan your first trip, I hope you’ll find something on my blog that inspires and excites you. If you want to stay up to date with my latest adventures, be sure to follow me on my social media accounts!

My Favorite Travel Planning Resources

Here are my go-to travel planning resources that I always rely on whenever I’m planning a new trip. I’ve used almost all of them for over ten years, so I can personally vouch for their reliability.

  • Accommodation: I book all my accommodation through Agoda. It’s a leading online travel agency offering great deals on hotels, flights, and vacation rentals worldwide. I always compare with other online travel agencies, and based on experience, Agoda consistently has the cheapest rates.
  • Activities & Tours: In Asia, I primarily use Klook, a popular platform for booking activities and tours. I’ve used it for years and they always offer great deals and points that I can apply to my next booking. In United Kingdom and Europe, GetYourGuide is my top choice. They have a vast selection of options in cities all over the globe, including walking tours, tickets to theme parks, and more.
  • Flights Comparison: Skyscanner is my trusted tool for finding the best flight deals. I’ve used it for over ten years, and it consistently finds the cheapest rates, making it my go-to for travel planning.
  • Flight Booking: Although I use Skyscanner to find and compare the best flight deals, I prefer booking directly through the airline’s website. For local destinations, Cebu Pacific is my go-to choice due to their affordable flights and Piso sales throughout the year. For international flights, I alternate between Emirates, Etihad, and Philippine Airlines, depending on who offers the best deals.
  • Staying Connected: Ever since I switched from using pocket Wi-Fi to eSIM, Holafly eSIM has been my top choice for staying connected while traveling. They offer reliable, unlimited, and convenient eSIM solutions that ensure seamless connectivity. I’ve used Holafly eSIM on numerous trips and appreciate their easy setup and excellent customer service.
